Triathlon is one of the UK’s fastest growing sports, and the Olympic success of the Brownlee brothers has inspired a generation.
Jo from CEJ Contractor Accountant's is involved in the local Junior Triathlon Club as the treasurer as well as having both of her sons participate in numerous events around the North West.
Last Sunday, 180 youngsters aged between 7 and 17 descended on the Oval sports centre in Wirral, to take part in the 2015 Mersey Tri Junior Triathlon.
With both her boys competing (and ending up in the top 10 for their age group) and it being the turn of the Wirral club to host the race, it was all hands on deck. So Jo downed her calculator to help register the kids while volunteering her husband to brave the elements and count the laps on the running stage.
With a small army of volunteers setting up, registering competitors, marshalling the event, counting laps and finally clearing the course away the event went fantastically well. Despite the rain and wind, you can be sure Jo will be back next year and do it all again.
