Here at CEJ we like to help our friends whenever we can so we felt a little bit of sympathy for Sam Allardyce last week when he lost his job for trying to do just that.
In case you missed it, the then-England football manager Allardyce left his role “by mutual consent” after being filmed advising undercover reporters posing as businessmen how to get around pesky FA rules regarding player ownership. “Big Sam” claimed he was doing it to help his mate Scott get a job with these “businessmen” and that the alleged £400,000 a year they were offering to pay him as a consultant had nothing to do with it.
We’re sure it didn’t. What we do know, though, is that here at CEJ we’re always happy to offer advice on saving money – we can’t say we’re experts on player ownership but we know a few things about other methods of making sure as much cash stays in your pocket as possible – and that our rates are significantly smaller than £400k per annum.
That’s whether you’re a contractor or a consultant – as well as being the best contractor accountants around we’re also experts in consultant accountancy.
We will give you advice you can rely on.
