If any of these are on your Christmas list then it is worth considering buying them tax-free for yourself through your limited company.
HMRC rules allow companies to purchase PCs, laptops, tablets and mobile phones for their employees to use without there being any taxable benefit for the employee.
So, you can buy any of these items through your company (using the company debit card) and then you can use them without any tax implications. What's more, you can include them in your bookkeeping and your company can set them against the corporation tax bill. For every £100 spent by your company, £20 will be saved in corporation tax. So, if your company bought a laptop for £900 an iPad for £600 and an iPhone for £500 then the total tax saving would be £400.
