As regular readers of these blogs will know, we are fond of darts here at CEJ. So much so, in fact, that there’s a special room in our office where visitors and staff can recharge their batteries with a quick game
What we didn't know was that the game dates back to the middle ages, and that when it first became popular, around the time of Henry VIII, there were only 12 sections as opposed to the 20 on today’s boards.
How do we know all this? Well, all this information was imparted to Bryan and Jo on a stopover in a
London pub during a trip to the big smoke for Accountex.
The annual event for all accountancy professionals, visiting Accountex is one of the ways we make sure that
we are providing the best service possible for all our clients. It’s a mixture of learning new ways to work,
making sure we are up to date with any new legislation changes and tax-saving ideas and taking inspiration
from some of the biggest and most experienced accountants around.
At CEJ we know we’re not the biggest but we are determined to be the best and, if nothing else, visiting
Accountex is about realising that although we are constantly striving to save our clients more money, the
services we already offer as contractor accountants are second to none.
Learning about darts is just the icing on the cake.
