Last week saw the CEJ office transformed into a winter wonderland, to accommodate the "big man from up north".
Over the course of the week the office slowly transformed. It took over 120m of wadding, 30m of pipe, a handmade sleigh, 4 elves, 3 reindeer, 2 inflatables and 1 Father Christmas to pull off the event and we did it in great style with roughly 140 kids telling Father Christmas their Christmas wishes.
The local community really embraced the grotto and we were able to bring them snow on the night as well (which Bryan was obsessed with and nearly turned the road outside into an Ibiza style foam party!) This was a great backdrop for some other special guests that came along from the film Frozen. So with Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Father Christmas and Jo dressed as an elf the stage was set for a fantastic night.
The grotto was all in aid of the fantastic charity "Meningitis Research Foundation" and we managed to raise over £1,100, and the total is still raising.
So after a two day clean up operation the office is now back to normal, and the only thing left of the grotto is the thoughts of how we can make next years bigger and better.
